SAGE (Sistemingi lyčių lygybės veiksmai)
Trinity College Dublin’s Centre for Gender Equality and Leadership co-ordinated the €2.2 million EU-Horizon 2020 project SAGE, which launched in 2016 and concluded in 2019.
The project focused on driving stronger action on gender equality in higher education and research. Through the creation of Gender Equality Plans, the SAGE project consortium worked on the development of a gender equality model that could be applied across EU higher education and research institutions.
The SAGE model for Advancing Gender Equality focuses on 4 key areas:
– Institutional Governance
– Engendering Knowledge
– Career Progression
– Work-life Balance
And is structured around 3 phases:
– Institutional Self-Assessment
– Construction and Implementation of GEPs
– Embedding Gender Knowledge in Organisations
Furthermore, the SAGE consortium has created an online course (see methodological and pedagogical approaches section), and they have created a document providing guidelines for the implementation of GEPs.
