We can stop male violence together
The Ministry of Equality, in collaboration with the Government Delegation against Gender Violence, implemented a Contingency Plan against Gender Violence in the face of the COVID19 crisis. Having been approved by the Council of Ministers on 17 March 2020; this plan was included in RDL 12/2020. A key piece of legislation which mandates on urgent measures for the protection and assistance to victims of gender violence. Among the measures promoted, an institutional campaign for the prevention of gender-based violence was carried out by keystakeholders. In addition, and while the state of alarm was raised during this time, an immediate psychological support service was set up via WhatsApp to support potential beneficiaries.
